On the verbose expression of language

I approached this game with discretion.

Yes I love Penny-Arcade, yes I wanted to check the game and the guys have made little noise about, not using all of their own site to do shameless self linking. So last night I download the demo and I’m happy to say the game rocks.

They’ve imagined a complete retro scenario, integrating the characters from the beloved comic series, and created a lush RPG world that is actually fun. Only for 20 dolars (or download the demo if you are cheap).

D3 Barbarian Diorama

I really like the design of the prototype, the sculptors took their time and did their homework.
If you watched the screen shots and concept art from the game you'll realize the model is true to the art direction in all regards. Heck, the barb is my least favorite character of the diablo series and I'd still want to get this figure.

The price... well that's another story.

"The Nefarious Necromancer"

No, they are not nefarious per se, that's only the perceived image of these people. Actually they are supposed to be discrete and intelligent, always looking for balance and meditation. The nefarious ones within their ranks (i.e. psychopath or disbalanced individuals) would be shunned from their society.

Now regarding the figure... Sweet geekery!
Maybe one day this baby could appear as a full diorama, just like the D3 Barbarian. More on that in the next post. In the mean time imagine this guy as a lvl91 mofo, soon to be a lvl99 killing machine.

This record sports soft, melodic rock that can put you in a mellow trance. The vocals can be compared to the soft high notes of My Morning Jacket, and the melody sounds a bit like Wilco’s ‘Sky Blue Sky’, just with a little more beat and little less guitar solos.

iPhone 3G

The iPhone 3G is finally out and guess what?, it is expensive as hell, never mind the so called discount at the AT&T or your local carrier, it is in the long run waaaaay too expensive.

I'm really interested in the device, from a geek point of view, but the price is becoming a deal breaker to me (as opposed to the keyboard being the deal breaker). Maybe the company can fix me up with one, I mean it has push email right, and I need to check my email at all times, right? :P

Anyway, the community just managed to jailbreak the device and the tool should be released soon, so in the meantime 'Viva la resistance'.
